The three day assessment of sustainable tourism development potential in Quang Nam mainly focused on community based tourism (CBT), and has provided the participants with valuable insights into three districts and one city comprised of 10+ communities and destinations. In many ways, the province has the potential to significantly increase tourism activities outside of the two major destinations of Hoi An and My Son. While the two destinations account for the vast majority of tourism revenues, some projects are slowly coming to life and begin to see increased tourism activity, for example Tam Thanh mural village, the Vietnam Mother Memorial and some destinations along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
