Half Day Cai Be - Mekong Delta Discovery
About this experience
Blessed with favorable fertile soil and temperate climate, Tien Giang province is called not only the rice bowl of the Mekong Delta, but also known for being the largest fruit producing area in Vietnam. Located two hours from Ho Chi Minh city, Cai Be is a charming small rural district of Tien Giang and the gateway to Vinh Long province and the whole Mekong Delta region. The district has long been well-known for the floating market of its namesake which lies in the Tien River, adjacent to three provinces of Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre.
Together with Cai Rang, Phung Hiep, Phong Dien Floating Markets, Cai Be Floating Market stands out as one of the noticeable and influential markets in Mekong Delta. Although its origin is still unknown, the market is believed to form in the Nguyen Dynasty in the 19th century. Diving in the bustling vibe and chaotic atmosphere of the market, your mind will soak up the rhythm of life on water, while your eyes will be wide open before the vastness of the Mekong River.
A range of half-day programs are designed for those who have limited time but wish to fully experience the landscape, people and culture of the Mekong Delta. Each program includes selected highlights of the region but will be delivered to you through different angles and fun activities such as cycling and boat rowing. Join us for a unique and authentic rustic experience in the agricultural heartland of Vietnam.
